Is golden haired with coruscating mane,
able to leap mountains—King of his domain.
Savage and swift, wise and true,
Wouldn’t you like a little lion too?
He’s gentle and sweet, if there’s enough people to eat;
he won’t stay out late, he doesn’t get up until eight.
He’ll casually devour anything that’s a bother to you.
He’s a little golden lion, a soft and warm fire,
and there’s nothing he likes more than a fat lazy liar.
He’ll clean your house right out of mice;
rats he cleans right out of your life;
like the rain in summer, he’s a tame thunderstorm,
oh wouldn’t it be nice, if every one could have
one just like you—my little lion.
