poetry by Ian David Arlett, Michael Dennis, Garth Douglas, Richard Harrison, Catherine Jenkins, Colin MacAdam, Ward Maxwell, John Tench, Riley Tench, Ken Wallace, Rob Wipond
Your incredible poem “Grass” was chosen for recitation by one of our semifinalist students in our poetry recitation contest. Our national event has students pick poems they admire and then perform them by memory (usually in front of a live audience but in covid times in front of a camera). You can see the recitation of your poem here: https://youtu.be/TqKdL8-ZmC0
We’re inviting you to participate in a podcast episode put on jointly by Arc Poetry Magazine and Poetry In Voice. In the podcast, we will have students interview and converse with you about your poem and poetry in general. This podcast will be moderated and edited. We just need to find a time in April where you could spare about an hour for the conversation. We pay $250 CAD for your appearance on the podcast.
We have a limited amount of spots, so not every poet will be able to participate. Please let us know if you are available as soon as you can and before March 25th if at all possible.
Our students are passionate about poetry and being able to meet the poet who wrote the words that they’ve been dedicating themselves to over the last few months would be huge for them.
If you have any questions at all please don’t hesitate to reach out. We are really excited about this pilot project and hoping you can participate.
All the best,
Sarah
